Here is good news; fans have been eagerly waiting for the return of their favourite MMA superstar, Conor McGregor, for the past several months. There have been multiple fighters thrown around as McGregor’s next opponent but nothing has been confirmed. The names of “Cowboy” Donald Cerrone, Nate Diaz, Rafael Dos Anjos and even Tony Ferguson have speculated as McGregor’s next dancing partner in the Octagon. However, Cerrone has been the only fighter whose name has been rumoured to be seriously considered by UFC for a fight against the Irish superstar.

During the celebrations of St. Patrick’s Day, McGregor was asked by a reporter about his next fight. There for the first time, McGregor admitted that he is in negotiations with the UFC regarding his next fight. “Yes, we’re currently in negotiations, we’re aiming for July, we’ll see what happens,” McGregor said while adding, “I am staying ready. This morning I was doing incline sprints on the treadmill on my program, the McGregorFast program, today in a hotel room. So we’re staying on it, getting work in as we go.”

Here it is to be noted that with that McGregor has confirmed that he is eyeing a comeback to the Octagon in July. There is still some doubt regarding his opponent but it looks like we are definitely going to see “The Notorious” fight in the UFC this year. McGregor is facing some felony charges in the US after he smashed a fan’s phone in Miami. Conor was arrested by the Miami Police and was charged with strong-armed robbery and criminal mischief. He was later let off on a bail bond of $12,500 but the case is still going on.
