New Delhi: A major meeting of the Modi cabinet is scheduled to be held tomorrow on Wednesday amid the corona epidemic gaining momentum and new cases going up to over 35,000. The cabinet meeting chaired by PM Modi will be held online. All ministers attending this meeting will join through video conferencing. Virtual meetings are being held in view of the growing spread of corona. There will be a meeting of the Cabinet as well as the CCS and CCEA.

The cabinet was taking place every Wednesday in the midst of the corona epidemic in a virtual manner, but after the epidemic cases subsided, a direct (physical) meeting was started instead of the virtual meeting. However, sources related to the government say that the first direct (physical) meeting of the cabinet was held in the first week of April 2020, when the corona virus epidemic was spreading in the country. Then the physical meeting was closed after the corona crisis came.

However the direct meeting was resumed in July. Pm Narendra Modi has called a cabinet yesterday in view of the crisis in Corona as well as its new variant Omicron. The virtual meeting will discuss the situation in corona and chalk out a strategy ahead.
