May 23,2016, Monday: PM Narendra Modi congratulated scientists on the successful launch of India's first indigenously made space shuttle- the Reusable Launch Vehicle (RLV).

Modi’s tweet read as -"Launch of India's first indigenous space shuttle RLV-TD is the result of the industrious efforts of our scientists. Congrats to them,".

"The dynamism & dedication with which our scientists & @isro have worked over the years is exceptional and very inspiring," the Prime Minister said.

India effectively launched the first technology demonstrator of indigenously made Reusable Launch Vehicle (RLV), capable of launching satellites into orbit around earth and then re-enter the atmosphere, from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh

According to the ISRO scientists , “RLV, being dubbed as India's own space shuttle, is the unanimous solution to achieve low cost, reliable and on-demand space access”.
