New Delhi: The world's largest drug-making Serum Institute of India, ie SII, has filed an application with the Regulator for an Emergency Use Authority (EUA) for the Covishield vaccine. SII is extremely close to signing a deal with the Central government. Now you will get one dose of Corona vaccine for just Rs 250.

The deal is in its final stages with the Central government and is likely to be discussed soon. Another government official also confirmed that the talks were in the final stage. It is not yet known how much vaccine doses will be made at the Pune-based company, but it is being said that 60 million doses may be provided soon. By January-February of 2021, this figure can be 100 million.

Serum Institute CEO Adar Poonawala said in a tweet, "As promised, before the end of 2020, @SerumInstIndia has applied for the Emergency Use Authority for the first-ever Made in India vaccine, Covishield. This will save countless lives, and I thank the Government of India and @narendramodi ji for their invaluable support. "
