It is already known that Mohanlal will play the lead role in the pan-Indian movie Vrushabha. The project will be funded by Ekta Kapoor. Now that Mohanlal and Ekta Kapoor were seen today at the Yash Raj studio, it appears that the paperwork for the movie has been finished. Jeetendra, Ekta's father, was also with them.
Featuring seasoned Malayalam actor Mohanlal, producer Ektaa Kapoor debuted Vrushabha on Monday. Ektaa posted a photo of herself, her father, actor Jeetendra, and Mohanlal on Instagram.
Sharing the picture, Ektaa wrote, “Posing with the legend and the genius!!!! JAI MATA DI so excited to be working with the actor par excellence @mohanlal. Balaji Telefilms partners with Connekkt Media and AVS Studios for VRUSHABHA - a pan-India bilingual Telugu-Malayalam film starring megastar Mohanlal.”
She also wrote, “High on emotions and VFX, the film is an Epic Action Entertainer transcending generations. Touted to be one of the biggest films of 2024, VRUSHABHA, directed by Nanda Kishore, goes on floors later this month and will be released simultaneously in Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Hindi.”
The eminent performer was in Mumbai for the Vrushabha Hindi dub. It has now been established that the actor was in the city for more than just dubbing. The actor and the producer have decided to move forward with their collaboration on Vrushabha now that the necessary paperwork has been completed.
Regarding Mohanlal, the actor has recently experienced a slump at the box office. He desperately needs a hit to convince his doubters that his career is still on course. His movie, Malaikottai Valiban, with renowned director Lijo Jose Pellissery has received the highest hopes from his supporters. The last film produced by the director, Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam, starring Mammootty, was universally acclaimed. Fans of Mohanlal are hoping that Lijo will be able to get their favorite to perform as well as he did with Mammootty.
The marketing for Vrushabha emphasizes its emotional core. It claims to be a tale of a father and son, but it is actually rife with retaliation. The movie shares similarities with other all-Indian movies like the KGF and Baahubali series. In the movie, Mohanlal is anticipated to play the father.
