Additionally involved in politics, Pillai was a member of the Indian National Congress

In 1984, PK Ramachandran Pillai made his debut in the movie business by directing Vepraalam, which had Sukumari, Adoor Bhasi, Lakshmi, and Menaka in the key roles.

He was a generous man who supported many artists, including me, by creating a number of excellent movies that will live on foreverHow many romantic moments I have with Pillachetan come to me right now. One cannot overstate Pillachettan's affection and support for my development as an actor. It has been really important. A heartfelt tribute to the legendary figure in Malayalam film.
