NEW DELHI: Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the AAP, said on Tuesday that Bhupendra Patel has no right to remain Gujarat's chief minister following the collapse of the Morbi bridge.
Kejriwal said, "The CM has no moral grounds to continue in the office. Prayed for those who lost their lives in the disaster. The Morbi bridge collapse in Gujarat was a result of tremendous corruption."
The CM has no moral standing to continue, according to Delhi CM Kejriwal. "This is a case of major corruption and efforts are being made to suppress it. A watch firm was granted the contract to build the bridge. Maintenance work was given without any tender.
CM Kejriwal commented on the ongoing conflict between the Delhi government and the L-G regarding the cancellation of yoga classes in the city, saying, "Last December, we had started the 'Dilli ki Yogshala' programme. We have made excellent health arrangements but we think why should anyone need treatment, people should do Yoga Pranayama daily. For this, 25 people from any locality can call a yoga trainer. In 11 months, 17,000 people were taking advantage of it. From today it is closed".
He said, without mentioning any names, that starting today there won't be any yoga courses. They acted in this way while high on power and conceit. People are quite irate over this.
He continued, "Today I declare that yoga lessons will not cease. Two crore people of Delhi will do this together. I will see to it that it takes place even if I have to beg for money. "We would start free Yoga courses in both states if we win the election in Gujarat," I told the Punjab Chief Minister.
Regarding the claim that money was given to imprisoned minister Satyendar Jain, Kejriwal claimed that this was done in an effort to draw attention away from the Morbi bridge collapse.
"This is a ploy to deflect attention from Morbi," he said. "He had imported Kumar Vishwas before the Punjab elections, and now Gujarat is in such a horrible position that PM Modi needs a thug like Sukesh Chandrasekaran locked up in Tihar.
