Ahmedabad: So far 141 people have lost their lives in the Morbi Bridge accident in Gujarat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to reach the spot in Morbi on Tuesday (November 1). It is being told that they can also meet the victims of the accident in the hospital. Earlier on Monday, PM Modi led a high-level meeting to review the situation in Morbi.

During this, PM Modi also took information about the ongoing rescue operation in Morbi. At the same time, on Tuesday morning, teams of the Indian Navy and NDRF resumed the rescue operation. Actually, some people are still reported missing. PM Modi will reach Morbi at 3.45 pm today. They will go to Morbi Civil Hospital at 4 pm and meet the injured. After this, he will reach the office of the Superintendent of Police and hold a meeting with the officials. 

The Gujarat government has declared a state mourning on November 2 over the Morbi accident. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel made this announcement after a meeting with PM Modi. CM Bhupendra Patel, Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi, Gujarat Chief Secretary, DGP and many big officials were present in this meeting. Bhupendra Patel tweeted that a high-level meeting was held at Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar under the leadership of PM Modi. In this meeting, it was decided to observe a state mourning in Gujarat on November 2 for the victims of the Morbi bridge accident. Due to the state mourning, the national flag will fly at half-mast on government buildings and no ceremony or other event will be held.
