Bhopal: Power employees of Madhya Pradesh have taken a big step just before Diwali. In fact, the employees have declared a strike. Let me tell all of you that the employees have not received arrear payments of Dearness Allowance and Salary Increment. It has been said that if orders are not issued by October 30, they will start a strike from November 1. On the other hand, the Madhya Pradesh United Forum for Power Employees and Engineers Organisation has also informed all collectors of the state about the agitation.

Let me tell all of you that the organization had also written to Energy Minister Pradyumna Singh but still the demands were not satisfied. Due to this, the non-cooperation movement is now being launched from 1st November. Let me tell you all that the convenor of the organization, VKS Parihar, has talked about it. He says, on October 21, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan had announced payment of arrears of dearness allowance and increment arrears, but the power companies in the state have not taken any decision so far, while 4th November is Deepawali.

He further said a letter in this regard was written to the Energy Minister on October 28 seeking redressal of other 5-point demands including the amount of DA-increment. Yet the companies did not make a decision. So, from 1st November, we will again follow the path of agitation.
