New Delhi: Coronavirus is now having a direct impact on life. From today, about 2 lakh people in Mumbai are going to stop getting tiffin. The supply of Dabbawala, which supplies midday lunches at Mumbai rates, is being stopped from today. In view of the rising havoc of Coronavirus, Dabbawala is stopping the service from today.

It is noteworthy that at present there are 194 corona virus-positive cases in the country. Of these, maximum 47 Corona virus-infected cases have been reported in Maharashtra alone. According to media reports, Dabbawala has said that he will not supply canned food in Mumbai from Friday. This decision has been taken due to the increasing infection of the coronavirus. The state government has also implemented several stringent laws to prevent coronavirus. Dabbawala has decided in the meeting today that he will not give the box till 31 March.

Experts say that in Mumbai, about 2 lakh people with about 5 thousand boxes carry food through the box. Most of the employed people take midday lunch from Dabbawala in Mumbai's Bhagadour-filled life. Along with this, Mumbai Dabbawala Association also runs a 'Roti Bank', from which free meals are given to the families of the patients who come for treatment in hospitals. The shutdown of Dabbawala service is going to have a direct impact on these two sections.
