Due to the continuous rains in the country's financial capital Mumbai, life has become totally disrupted by the people living there. Due to heavy rains, water is flooded in Mumbai's lower areas. At the same time, local trains of Western, Harbor and Central lines are running late by 5-15 minutes due to water filling on the railway line. Along with it, the bad effect is also on road traffic and airlines. The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rains in the next few hours. Two people were killed and five others were injured when a tree near the metro cinema collapsed on MG Road during the rain. 

According to reports, two people died and five people were injured when trees fell in MG Road area of Mumbai. On the other hand, due to rain, seven trains have been damaged due to the landslides of Vidyalankar Road under a construction building of Wadala. Due to heavy rains, the situation of the people in the postal colony of Chembur East area has become worse. People here are facing a lot of hardships to meet everyday needs.

Due to the rains, traffic has stopped in many areas including Andheri, Bandra, Sion, Dharavi, Hindmata, Dadar and other areas. Roads of Hindamata and Sion railway stations have turned into a river. On the other hand, cities including Dharavi, Sion, Bandra, Kurla, and Chembur have faced heavy waterfalls in many cities. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of heavy rains in different areas of Maharashtra. 

 

 

This raises questions on the claims of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to deal with rain. BMC has installed banners with helpline numbers for information related to rain in the entire city.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, at around 5.30 in the morning, there was rainfall of 90 mm in Colaba and 195 mm in Santa Cruz. Heavy rains will continue here now. The postal colony of former Chembur has caused floods due to rain, due to which many trains are seen floating in the water.
At the same time, a number of school-colleges have been announced as precautionary measures to deal with the problem of traffic. 

According to the Meteorological Department, 122 mm in eastern suburbs and 141 mm in western suburbs has been recorded. On the other hand, the monsoon has knocked in Gujarat. Due to the constant rain here, the problem of water logging has arisen in Umbargaon of Valsad district. According to the Western Railway, due to heavy rains, rail operations between Bhilad and Sanjan are being affected.
