Varanasi: Following the Varanasi Court's decision to permit Hindu devotees to worship inside the Gyanvapi mosque complex, the Vyas Ka Tehkhana's barricades were opened, enabling daily arti and puja. Vishnu Shankar Jain, the Hindu side lawyer, reported that Mangla Arti was conducted at 3:30 am, followed by bhog at 12 pm. The court directed the district administration to make necessary arrangements within seven days. Expressing joy, Jitendra Nath Vyas, a Vyas family member, conducted puja in the basement, attended by priests, family members, and district officials.

A significant development occurred as the Varanasi court granted permission for Hindu devotees to offer prayers within the 'Vyas Ka Tekhana' area inside the Gyanvapi mosque complex. Jitendra Nath Vyas, representing the Vyas family, expressed satisfaction at being able to resume puja in the basement. The ceremony involved priests from the Kashi Vishwanath temple trust, family members, and district officials. Concurrently, the Muslim side, led by the Anjum Intejamia committee, contested the Varanasi Court's decision, approaching the Allahabad High Court. Muslim side lawyer Akhlaq Ahmed argued that the order overlooked crucial reports and decisions in their favor and questioned the lack of evidence for prayers before 1993. The mosque has four cellars, one of which is in the possession of the Vyas family, who sought permission to resume their hereditary pooja duties.

In response to the Varanasi Court's ruling, the Gyanvapi mosque complex saw a resumption of Hindu worship, marking a pivotal moment in the ongoing legal and religious dispute. The decision stirred reactions from both Hindu and Muslim communities, intensifying the broader conversation around heritage, faith, and legal interpretations of historical sites in India.
