Eminent Indian male archer Atanu Das is confident of his brilliant performance in next year's Tokyo Olympics. The Tokyo Olympics was scheduled to be held in July-August this year but has been postponed until next year due to the Covid-19.

The 28-year-old had to face defeat against Lee Seung U of South Korea in the 2016 Rio Olympics. Das, along with Indian table tennis player Mudit Dani, told 'In the Spotlight' online show, "I was very happy about my first Olympics in Rio. But unfortunately, I had to face defeat. After which I did not even want to talk to anyone for the next 2 months. I have learned a lot from that defeat".

Das is currently part of a training camp at ASI Pune. He had qualified for the Tokyo Olympics along with Tarundeep Rai and Praveen Jadhav. He said, "I am preparing hard for the 2021 Olympics. I had my first match in Rio 2016, but Tokyo will be the best and I will prepare more for it".
