Dongargarh:  On Tuesday, Indian Railways reported that two bogies of the Shivnath Express train, which was travelling from Chattisgarh to Nagpur in Maharashtra, derailed there. There were no casualties, according to the South East Central Railway.

At the Dongargarh yard of the Nagpur Division in Chattisgarh, two coaches, Sec 134400 and Sec 084114, of Train No. 18239, Shivnath Express, which was headed from Gondia station to Itwari station, derailed. The incident happened this morning at 3:42. According to a railway official, no one was injured or killed in the incident, and all of the passengers were secure because the train was moving at a leisurely pace.

Senior officers rushed to the location, including the Divisional Railway Officer (DRM) and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (SrDOM). A technical team started the re-railing procedure. The medical staff also reached at the scene.

Since the incident didn't disrupt the mainline, all of the people from the affected coaches were transferred to the sleeping coach, the railway official said. It took the technical team almost two hours to separate the affected vehicles. The  official said, the train continued its journey around 5:45 am in the direction of Rajnandgaon and Itwari station.

Meanwhile, a freight train carrying five trucks overturned on Monday evening close to the Bhubaneswar railway station, partially halting rail traffic on the route. According to sources, the accident happened at around 8:35 pm when the train was heading from Chakradharpur Division to Vizianagaram through Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
