Jaipur: International folk artist Fakira Khan, who has made Rajasthani folk music and Sufi music famous all over the world besides the country, has been honoured by the Guinness Book of World Records. Khan has received this award at the presentation of more than 1000 events in 300 major cities in 103 countries.

Fakira Khan, a folk artist who made his mark with Rajasthani folk music across on foreign soil, has been honoured by the World Book of Records. In the programme, Guinness Book of World Records London chief Santosh Shukla and more decisive Sanjay Panjwani honoured Fakira Khan during a ceremony in Barmer. The award has also been given to comedian Kapil Sharma this time.

Talking to the press, Fakira Khan said that for the past 35 years, he has been recovering the country's traditional folk music separately in the world. He has also worked with several big songwriters during this time. He has also performed in several TV channels. In which he has made an attempt to recognize the threat of Rajasthani folk art all over the world by giving his presentation.
