MUMBAI: Tata Nano has become the highlight of the world by becoming the subject of worldwide discussion, having achieved the title of being the world's cheapest car ever. The sales of the car dropped drastically as only one Nano car has been sold this year. The Nano is the entry level car of Tata Motors. At the same time, the company has not produced a single Nano car in the last nine months this year. Tata Motors has not yet officially announced the discontinuation of its entry-level model, despite the company's cheapest car sales and production being almost stopped.

Tata Motors also acknowledges about its entry-level car that its current form will not be able to meet safety regulation and BS-4 standards. Despite this, the company has not yet taken any official decision regarding the future of the Nano car. Tata Motors officials have indicated an official shutdown of the production and sale of the Nano car from April 2020. Significantly, the Nano car came on the market in March 2009. At that time, the price of this entry level car of Tata Motors was Rs 1 lakh. At that time it was an ambitious plan of Ratan Tata. It is now believed that the company will not invest further in this model. At the time of launching, the Tata Nano was introduced as a common man's car, but later its sales continued to decline.
