Former PM and veteran Congress leader PV Narasimha Rao was born on June 28, 1921 in Lakenappally, present-day Telangana. He became the 10th PM of the country. It was under pv narasimha rao that India started working on nuclear bombs and missiles. It was under the rule of PV Narasimha Rao that terrorism was eliminated in Punjab. PV Narasimha Rao made headlines for another thing, that was his displeasure with Sonia Gandhi. Even after narasimha rao's death, his body was not allowed to be brought inside the Congress headquarters.

In fact, PV Narasimha Rao did not have personal enmity with Sonia Gandhi, but his displeasure with Sonia Gandhi over his PM post had started. Narasimha Rao had once told a journalist close to him that when he called Sonia Gandhi even when he was PM, he was put on hold for a long time. Not only that, when he went to meet him, Sonia Gandhi would make him wait a long time. Just then what was it from here the rift between PV Narasimha Rao and Sonia Gandhi began to grow. A book also reveals that PV Narasimha Rao had engaged the Intelligence Bureau (IB) at 10 Janpath, sonia gandhi's residence while she was pm. 10 Every news of Janpath went to Narasimha Rao. In this regard, he had told a close journalist that Narasimha Rao, being a Congress leader, could wait for Sonia Gandhi over the phone. But the PM of the country cannot wait. If the PM has to wait on Sonia Gandhi's phone, it would be a contempt for the prime minister's post. That is why Narasimha Rao moved away from the heads of the Gandhi family and became a snob in the eyes of the family.

December 23rd, 2004. Former PM PV Narasimha Rao breathed his last in AIIMS around 11 am. At about 2.30 p.m., his mortal remains were brought from AIIMS to his residence 9 Motilal Nehru Marg. Chandraswamy, rao's 8 sons and daughters, nephews and others from the family were present at the residence. Real politics began after Rao's mortal remains reached home from AIIMS. The then Home Minister Shivraj Patil suggested to Rao's younger son Prabhakar that his last rites be performed in Hyderabad. However, his family wanted to perform the last rites in Delhi itself. After some time, another close leader of the then Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Gulab Nabi Azad, reached 9 Motilal Nehru Marg. He also requested Rao's family to take the body to Hyderabad.

The next day, on December 24, the body of Narasimha Rao, wrapped in the tricolour, was placed in a gun carriage. Narasimha Rao's body reached outside the Congress headquarters. The door to the party headquarters was closed. All the Congress leaders were present there, but everyone was silent. yes... Sonia Gandhi and other leaders must have come out to bid a final farewell. Since after the death of any leader, there was a tradition of keeping his body for the darshan of common workers at the party headquarters, which is still there today. Rao's family did not even expect it to happen. For nearly half an hour, the cannon train carrying the body waited outside the Congress headquarters to open the door and rao's body would be kept inside, but when it did not happen, it then left for the airport, from where he was taken to Hyderabad and cremated. But even while holding the PM post, narasimha rao's body, which waited for Sonia Gandhi, had to wait outside the Congress headquarters.
