Yeddyurappa told reporters before leaving for Mangaluru, "I am going to Mangaluru along with Govind Karjol (Deputy Chief Minister) and Basavaraj Bommai (Home Minister). I will hold a meeting with the authorities to find out the reasons (for the violence)." The incident would be investigated, he said, "I will go there and hold meetings. After knowing all the things, I will make a decision."

Curfew removed from some cities
