The police have started to tighten the nuisances under the guise of the revised citizenship law. Mangaluru Police Commissioner has issued notice to Congress leader Siddaramaiah. This notice has been issued in connection with Siddaramaiah's visit to Mangalore to maintain law and order. In view of the disturbances against the citizenship law, Section-144 (Section 144) has been implemented in many districts of Karnataka.

Amid this move by the police, Karnataka minister CT Ravi retorted on the remarks made by Congress leader UT Khadar saying that people with such mentality had grown up in Godhra and killed kar sevaks. They must remember what the answer was. If not, he can remember. The majority are very patient, please see the history of what happens when the patience of the majority runs out. Let me tell you that on December 17, Congress leader UT Khader had said that I am warning the CM of Karnataka that if you implement the citizenship law here, I swear that Karnataka will be blown up like ashes.

According to media reports, in Hubli, Kalburgi, Dakshina Kannada, there is a ban on the gathering of more than four people under section 144. Section-144 has been imposed in Bengaluru for the next three days. Violence took place on Friday in several districts of Uttar Pradesh against the citizenship law, in which the death toll has risen to 11. At the same time, 10 people have been arrested in connection with the violence during the demonstration in Dariyaganj in Old Delhi.
