NEW DELHI: BJP Rajya Sabha MP and senior leader Subramanian Swamy, who was in the discussion due to his controversial statement, termed the ongoing hearing in the National Herald case as a waste of time. He said his victory in the case is certain. The National Herald case has begun in Delhi's Rause Avenue Court on Friday.

The petitioners of this case are the masters. Several senior Congressmen, including congress president Sonia Gandhi, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, are accused in the case. In the court, the Congress lawyer asked Swamy a number of questions which he also answered. The court, while ending today's hearing, has fixed September 28 as the next date of hearing. Swamy tweeted that the National Herald will hear today and tomorrow.

This case is based on the documents I have filed and very little my cross-examination. Yes, it is a time-wasting process that I have to go through. I am sure to win this case. Swamy objected to a question being asked by congress leader Sonia Gandhi's lawyer in the Hindi during the cross-examination of the National Herald case and said she was a Tamil.

Asked about the road on which the Indian Express building was constructed, Dr. Swamy said, Please speak in English. You must remember that I am a Tamil. English is the language of the court. The country judge had to intervene in the escalating controversy. The judge said Hindi and English are both the languages of the court.
