PM Modi has imposed a lockdown of 21 days to prevent corona. During this time, any kind of public programs are completely banned. Easter, the major festival of Christianity due to Coronavirus, could not be celebrated this time like every year. Due to this, members of CSI Emmanuel Church in Chennai distributed food to the municipal workers on the occasion of Easter.

In his statement, the church's pastor E David said that usually we are very busy during the celebration of Easter, but during this crisis we cannot go to church. We telecasted the prayer live on Facebook and YouTube. Today we distributed food to the needy and we are happy to do so. This includes workers, sanitation workers and road sweepers.

For your information, let us tell you that Rev. Charles, on the other hand, prayed alone at Easter at All Souls Church in Coimbatore. No one else was allowed to go there because of the lockdown. Here too, prayers for church members were broadcast live on Facebook. PM Modi also greeted people on the occasion of Easter. The Prime Minister tweeted and wrote, 'Best wishes to everyone on the special occasion of Easter. We remember the great thoughts of the Lord Christ, especially his unwavering commitment to empower the poor and the needy. He further wrote that this Easter give us the power to defeat the coronavirus and make a healthy planet.
