After passing from the Parliament of India, a big rally was organized on Saturday against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) at Azad Maidan in Mumbai. A large number of people from Mumbai and surrounding areas shouted slogans against Modi-Amit Shah while reciting Faiz Ahmed Faiz's famous Najm Hum Dekhen.
For your information, let us tell you that this rally was organized by the Maharashtra unit of the National Alliance against the CAA and the proposed National Register of Citizens (NRC) and National Population Register (NPR). The rally was attended by people from Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane and other cities in Maharashtra. Protesters holding tricolor in the hand, raised slogans of independence from CAA-NRC and independence from Modi-Shah.
The people involved in the rally said that they will not show any documents during the process of preparing the population register. These people also demanded the withdrawal of the CAA Act in the current session of Parliament. Women were also involved in large numbers in this rally.
