Police will seek the remand of Sharjeel from the court for questioning.
According to media reports, JNU student Sharjeel Imam was arrested by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police on Tuesday from Jehanabad, Bihar. Sharjeel had cut his hair and beard to hide his identity. The police also seized the car from which he was preparing to run away. Late Tuesday evening, the police presented him before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) and took him on a 36-hour transit remand. After getting her medical, she was taken to Patna.
