Constant efforts are being made by Delhi Municipal Corporations and other agencies to reduce pollution. Regarding this matter, the bench said, 'In future you will have to buy BS-6 vehicles. When BS-6 comes into operation, pollution from diesel vehicles will reduce. Tushar Mehta said that these vehicles were needed only for essential services. The bench sought a chart of the number of vehicles required and their details and adjourned the hearing till March 16. The bench also heard the issue of smog towers to be set up at Connaught Place and Anand Vihar as a pilot project.
