Global cooperation- A necessary in today's world

Global cooperation is an act of all countries working together to accomplish global issues and missions. Cooperation is important in the world to facilitate the ability to work effectively and respectfully with diverse people or teams, make compromises, build consensus in decision-making, assume shared responsibility for collaborative work, and value the opinions and contributions of individual team members, from a position of firm self-identity.

21th century, the world is becoming closer and closer which makes it a small inter-connected community. The missions and issues of the global cooperation are environment, poverty, war, diseases, extinct animal so on and so forth. To solve such issues it takes lot of support and efforts from countries to deal with the same issues.

The most urgent future challenges, climate change are the overwhelming priority. Another area of consensus is that the United Nations must be more inclusive in how it fosters global cooperation.

The world meanwhile has become multipolar and new powers have emerged, if the proclamations of the G8 and G20 summits or the UN negotiations are to be believed they essentially are in agreement on such general objectives such as green growth and fair trade, limiting climate change and the extinction of species, reform of the financial markets and the eradication of poverty and hunger. Almost 9 in 10 respondents to the United Nations survey believe that international collaboration is vital to tackle contemporary challenges.

The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed deep-rooted vulnerabilities in public health infrastructure and supply chains. The dual health and economic impact of COVID-19 has not only led to an increase in the extreme poverty and widening inequality, but also caused severe disruptions to global health and education. The post-pandemic situation is likely to be one of a more activist state everywhere.

Traditional international institutions, global governance seems pitiful, particularly when faced with today’s geopolitical challenges.

Cooperation in many domains has been possible between countries with very different types of governments, ranging from liberal democracies to authoritarian regimes of various persuasions.

There are certain range of barriers to cooperation including the potential incongruence between national interests and those of partnership; challenges related to trust and reliability of partners, differences in the legal and regulatory frameworks of partners; and crucially, limited resources or capacity to invest in building partnerships. The practical and political challenges deepen the cooperation barriers.

Global cooperation is very crucial since it will save people lives, provide more jobs and help the world economy. “Untied we are strong, divided we fall.” Global cooperation allows people to collaborate and achieve the same goals.
