New Delhi: The apex court today said that there will be no change in the pattern of the NEET Super Speciality DM exam this year. This exam will be according to the old pattern. The Centre and the National Board of Examinations admitted before the Supreme Court that this year's NEET super speciality exam will be conducted as per the old pattern. The new pattern will come into effect from next year.

Following the apex court's reprimand, the central government has asked for the NEET-PG Super Speciality Examination 2021 on the old pattern itself. The Centre told the Supreme Court that the exam will be conducted according to the old question pattern. The new pattern will come into effect from the next session 2022-2023. The apex court has expressed satisfaction over the Centre's proposal. The apex court on Tuesday expressed its displeasure over the "last minute changes" made in the pattern of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Examination Super Speciality (NEET-SS) 2021.

The court had said prima facie it appears that it intends to fill only vacant post-graduate medical seats through it. The Supreme Court rejected the central government's new proposal to postpone the exam for two months. The Supreme Court has asked the central government to reconsider on Wednesday. The top court bluntly said that either the government itself conducts the test on the old pattern otherwise the hands of the law are long.
