The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the rescheduled date for the NEET-PG exam. It will now be held on August 11, 2024, in two shifts, according to an official statement released on Friday.

"The cut-off date for eligibility to appear in NEET-PG 2024 remains August 15, 2024," the board clarified.

Candidates are advised to stay updated with further details regarding the exam's conduct in the upcoming days on the NBEMS website natboard.edu.in.

Last month, the Ministry of Health had postponed the NEET-PG exam as a precautionary measure amidst controversies surrounding alleged irregularities in competitive tests.

Previously, the Ministry of Education formed a high-level committee of experts to review and recommend reforms in the examination process, enhance data security protocols, and improve the National Testing Agency's (NTA) operations. Led by former ISRO chairman Dr. K. Radhakrishnan, the committee is expected to submit its findings to the ministry within the next two months.

The NTA has faced criticism for discrepancies noted during various exams, including NEET-UG, prompting widespread protests and calls from political parties and activists to dissolve the agency.
