Nepal Visit: Swaraj to hold talks with CPN Chief Pushpa Kamal Dahal

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj landed at Kathmandu on Thursday on a two day goodwill visit to Nepal.She held talks with CPN (UML) Chairman K.P.Sharma Oli, who is expected to be the new Prime Minister of Nepal.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has said that her visit to Nepal is to meet friends from all political parties and strengthen India-Nepal ties.

Speaking to media at Kathmandu airport Swaraj said that Indo Nepal ties are such of a natural that there is no need to have an excuse to visit each other.

In her first engagement, Swaraj met CPN (UML) Chairman K.P.Sharma Oli and congratulated him for his party's win in recently concluded historic elections. Both the leaders held the extensive discussion on ways to take forward special ties between India and Nepal. Oli hosted a special dinner for Indian External Affairs Minister. Afterward, Swaraj met senior leaders of Rashtriya Janta Party Nepal. She congratulated them for their act in the recently held elections.

Swaraj will hold discussions with CPN (Maoist Center) chief Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda over breakfast today. External Affairs Minister will also pay visit to meet Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and call on President Vidya Devi Bhandari before returning to New Delhi.
