New Education policy launched in U'khand for higher education

Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister of Uttarakhand, and Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan On Sunday unveiled the National Education Policy 2020 for the academic year 2022–2023.

Uttarakhand is the land of scholars.  At the event, Dharmendra Pradhan said that the state would come up with a lot of fresh ideas for a better way to carry out the new education strategy.

The first state in the nation to implement a new primary education strategy using Bal Vatikas was Uttarakhand. He said that initiatives will need to be taken to guarantee that all kids enrol in Bal Vatikas.

He said,  the new education policy has been developed with consideration for all facets of human life. In addition to schooling, the new policy has focused on the skill and personality development of children as well as instilling moral values in them, he added.

Children in Bal Vatikas will begin receiving a formal education at age three under the new educational programme, and by the time they join grade one, they will be six years old. Under the new policy, the union minister said, "We need to start with an objective of providing quality education to 40 lakh children in Uttarakhand from infancy to the age of 21–22 years."

 Pradhan went on that the new education policy has been prepared to keep in mind all considerations of human life. Other than education, attention has been given in the new policy to skill development and personality development of the children, inculcating them moral values, adding that education is directly related to self-reliance.
