Alert! Coming 4 days can be sizzling cold for these states

New Delhi: Cold wave conditions are intensifying in North India. According to the Met department, the severe cold wave is going to increase by January 15. In addition, heavy rain is also likely to occur in several areas of South India. These areas of South India mainly include Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The Met department has issued a yellow alert for cold wave in several areas of Rajasthan.

While cold wave conditions in North India show havoc, rain in the south can lead to problems for the people. According to the Regional Meteorological Department, Chennai, rain, hail, and thunderclap have been estimated till 15th January. According to reports, this will be due to cyclonic circulation off the Sri Lankan coast over the Bay of Bengal. Due to which rain may occur in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, and Kerala.

The Met department has issued yellow alerts for several areas in the coming 24 hours. Srinagar in Kashmir recorded a temperature of minus 0.2 degrees Celsius, which is down from minus 2.6 degrees Celsius last night. People in the valley have received a little respite from the cold as the minimum temperature has been recorded at most of the places. Gulmarg recorded a minimum temperature of minus 9.6 degrees Celsius. It was the coldest place in the valley.
