Several instructions have been given by the Government of India to control pollution. But in spite of all this, in some areas these instructions are not being followed. The National Green Tribunal has been very angry at the introduction of brick and kiln despite the ban in the eight districts of NCR and adjoining it. Not only this, the order issued by the Chief Secretary of the state on March 29 has also been rejected, in which the permission to operate the kiln was given.

Hearing various petitions, the NGT has expressed strict displeasure over the attitude of the state government and has given strict instructions to follow its order issued on 19 November 2019. If you do not do this, you have also warned of strict action. According to the pollution department report, there are about 2250 brick kilns in Ghaziabad, Gautam Budh Nagar, Hapur, Meerut, Bulandshahar, Baghpat, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar. Of these, only about 1100 have obtained environmental consent.

In this case, Shailesh Singh, Rajveer Singh and Vikas Singh had filed petitions, which the NGT, while hearing in November last year, considered the deepening crisis of air pollution in the NCR region very serious. Banned brick kilns. Talking about the entire state, there are about 19 thousand brick kilns, out of which only 8851 have environment committee. Knowing this, the Chief Secretary, bypassing the orders of the NGT, has given orders to open brick kilns in the entire state including NCR. The NGT had earlier given instructions on the basis of the report of the experts, that all the bricks should be run on coal fuel and the government should also study PNG gas, agricultural residues and other alternatives of fuel - new technologies. Along with this, instructions have also been given that there should be a distance of at least 500 meters between the two brick-kilns.
