Australia's veteran tennis star Nick Kyrgios will not be able to play in the French Open 2023 due to a knee injury. The French Tennis Federation (FFT), the organizer of the Grand Slam competition, has confirmed this on Tuesday. Kyrgios, who participated in Roland Garros 5 times, could not win even once in Paris. He made it past the third round just twice out of five.

Kyrgios, a Wimbledon 2022 finalist, has not played at the French Open since a second-round exit in 2017. It has been a troubled year for Kyrgios, who underwent knee surgery after pulling out of the Australian Open in January. He was also found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend in February, although the magistrate dismissed the case as a "one-off idiocy".
