New Delhi: The Delhi court has fixed March 20 for the hanging of the four convicts Mukesh Singh, Vinay Sharma, Akshay Singh and Pawan Gupta in the 2012 gang rape and murder case. For this, the executioner Pawan will reach Tihar Jail on 17 March. The hanging of the four convicts has been postponed 3 times before, but it is believed that they will be hanged on 20 March. Tihar jail officials have said that Pawan hangman will arrive at the jail on Tuesday (March 17).

He has told that the jail authorities will also practice it through dummy before the hanging on March 20. The convicts of Nirbhaya earlier made every effort to protect themselves from the top court, Patiala House Court to Rashtrapati Bhavan. On March 3, the Tihar Jail administration had made full preparations for the execution. The Tihar Jail officials said that Pawan Jallad had even practiced hanging all the four convicts in Tihar through dummy but later it was stayed by the court.

This will be the third time that Pawan hangman has been called to Tihar Jail for hanging in this case. Delhi's Patiala House Court has again issued a death warrant to hang the four criminals. These convicts were scheduled to be hanged on March 3, but keeping in mind the mercy petition pending, the court stayed the hanging till further orders on March 2.
