Lucknow: Sanjay Nishad, president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ally Nishad Party, has accused the saffron party of vandalism over the reservation of the Nishad fraternity. Nishad told presspersons here on Sunday night that the BJP has made a vow to him. In the year 2019, his party had tied up with BJP only on the issue of reservation of Nishad. But nothing happened on the demand for reservation.

He said that CM Yogi Adityanath had assured to resolve the issue of reservation of Nishad. It has been a year and a half, but the BJP has not kept its promise. Now he is feeling neglected himself. Nishad has announced that his party will field candidates in every seat for the upcoming three-tier panchayat elections in Uttar Pradesh. He asked the BJP to resolve the issues of farmers through dialogue at the earliest.

The elections of three-tier panchayats are to be completed by the last week of April. The reservation list is awaited for this. Reservation has to be done by the rotation ratio formula. All preparations have been completed for the panchayat elections. Elections will be held in the last week of April for Zilla Panchayat, Kshetra Panchayat, and Gram Panchayat. For this, the process of the reservation will be completed in February itself. This time reservation will be done according to the rotation.
