Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Sunday said that the Modi government is trying to stop three of the six rivers of "Akhand Bharat" flowing in Pakistan from getting water from India's share there. He said that this water will be provided to Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.

Addressing a digital rally of Gujarat BJP from Nagpur, Maharashtra, Gadkari said that India believes in non-violence and peace. Gadkari said, "Six rivers in Akhand Bharat that pass through both India and Pakistan." According to the partition, the water of three rivers was reserved for Pakistan while the water of the remaining three rivers was to be used by India. Our share of water is also flowing in Pakistan. He said that now the Modi government is trying to prevent water from part of India from going into Pakistan.

Addressing the 'Jan Samvad' rally in Gujarat from Nagpur in Maharashtra, Gadkari said that India believes in peace and non-violence and does not want to become strong by being an expansionist. Gadkari said, "To win almost over the Maoist problem or to protect the country from Pakistan sponsored terrorism. China is on one side of the border and Pakistan on the other side. We want peace, not violence. The MP from Nagpur, referring to Marathi novelist Shivaji Sawant's novel 'Mrityunjay', said that peace and non-violence can only establish strength, not weakness."
