In the midst of the Corona crisis, the central government has extended a nationwide lockdown in the Containment Zone till 30 June. This time the activities that were banned were reopened in different phases according to the new phase of nationwide shutdown. In the first phase, religious places, public places of worship, hotels, restaurants and other hospitality services and shopping malls will be allowed to open from June 8, 2020.

In the second phase after consultation with the states and union territories, schools, colleges, educational / training / coaching institutes etc. will be opened. Sources have been informed that some major cities of the country have not been given relief in UNLOCK 1.0. All the rules of lockdown will continue in the cities included in the Containment Zone as in the past.

The names include Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Thane, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Indore, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Chengalpattu, Thiruvallur etc. On the other hand, the death toll from Corona has reached close to five thousand. Due to record new cases coming out of the last few days, the number of infected people has also exceeded a quarter of a million. Fast growing cases in states like Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Gujarat as well as Bihar, Rajasthan, Haryana and Karnataka have spoiled the mathematics of the entire country. According to the Union Health Ministry, 7,964 new cases have been received in the country in the last 24 hours while 265 people have died. The number of people who have died so far from the epidemic has been 4,971 while the number of infected has increased to 1,73,763.
