CHINA  Is a country in East Asia. It is the world's second-most populous country, with a population exceeding 1.4 billion. China spans the equivalent of five time zones and borders fourteen countries by land, tied with Russia as having the most of any country in the world. China is famous for its ancient architecture, for example, the illustrious Great Wall of China which was constructed in the 7th century BC. Similarly, China has ancient traditions such as martial arts which originated during the Xia dynasty. One of China's most famous landmarks‒is the Great Wall of China. Stretching over 13,000 miles and dating back over 2,000 years, the Great Wall was built to protect the country from invaders and is now a top tourist destination. JAPAN  Is an island country in East Asia. It is situated in the northwest Pacific Ocean and is bordered on the west by the Sea of Japan, extending from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north toward the East China Sea, the Philippine Sea, and Taiwan in the south.  Japan is known for everything from onsen hot springs and kabuki baths to all-night neon-lit dance parties, anime, and sushi boat restaurants, all of which are decidedly more modern. The Japanese landscape is rugged, with more than four-fifths of the land surface consisting of mountains.

There are many active and dormant volcanoes, including  Fuji-san, which, at an elevation of 12,388 feet,3,776 meters, is Japan’s highest mountain. Abundant precipitation and the generally mild temperatures throughout most of the country have produced a lush vegetation cover and, despite the mountainous terrain and generally poor soils, have made it possible to raise a variety of crops. Japan has a large and, to a great extent, ethnic population, which is heavily concentrated in the low-lying areas along the Pacific coast of Honshu.

MONGOLIA  A nation bordered by China and Russia is known for its vast, rugged expanses and nomadic culture. Its capital, Ulaanbaatar, centers around Chinggis Khaan  Square, named for the notorious founder of the 13th- and 14th-century Mongol Empire. Also in Ulaanbaatar are the National Museum of Mongolia, displaying historic and ethnographic artifacts, and the restored 1830 Gandantegchinlen Monastery. Worldwide gross domestic product in 2021 was at about 12,183 USD per capita. GDP in Mongolia, on the other hand, reached USD 4,566 per capita, or 15.29 billion USD for the whole country.

Mongolia is one of the smaller economies and is currently ranked 128. Inflation in Mongolia in 2021 was around 7.35%. Mongolia boasts a wide range of birds, fish, and mammals but is probably best known for the Siberian Ibex, Snow Leopard, Gobi Bear, Wild Bactrian Camel, and Przewalski's Horse. 8. NORTH KOREA   Officially the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, is a country in East Asia. It constitutes the northern half of the Korean Peninsula and borders China and Russia to the north at the Yalu and Tumen Rivers, and South Korea to the south at the Korean Demilitarized Zone.  The Democratic People's Republic of Korea is a highly centralized totalitarian state. Despite being one of the poorest countries in the world, it maintains one of the largest militaries and devotes significant resources to its illicit nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs. SOUTH KOREA   An East Asian nation on the southern half of the Korean Peninsula, shares one of the world’s most heavily militarized borders with North Korea. It’s equally known for its green, hilly countryside dotted with cherry trees and centuries-old Buddhist temples, plus its coastal fishing villages, sub-tropical islands, and high-tech cities such as Seoul, the capital. South Korea is famous for K-pop, delicious Korean foods, ancient temples, and dynamic festivals. South Korea is an Eastern Asian country.

It is located on the Korean Peninsula, with the Yellow Sea on the west and the Sea of Japan on the east. On the first day of the lunisolar calendar, South Korea has a public holiday. This means that citizens are free to celebrate with their families. The most important activity that the day is centered around is the commemoration of ancestors. After this, households prepare a large meal with traditional favorites. Koreans hide their shoes the day before Sŏllal. This ritual takes place because it is believed that ghosts visit to steal the shoes left laying out. As a result, the shoe owners endure bad luck all year long.

TAIWAN  The ROC government relocated to Taiwan in 1949 while fighting a civil war with the Chinese Communist Party. Since then, the ROC has continued to exercise effective jurisdiction over the main island of Taiwan and several outlying islands, leaving Taiwan and China each under the rule of a different government. Taiwan is a de facto separate self-governing entity. Become part of China as a province or special administrative region of the PRC under the one country, two systems framework.

Taiwan's politics take place within the framework of a unitary, semi-presidential democratic republic. Because of the Cold War, most Western countries and the United Nations considered the ROC  Taipei,  to be the only legitimate government of China until the 1970s. Taiwan has received high marks for holding clean elections and protecting political rights. The public supports democracy in principle and, by and large, approves of the island's system in practice. However, when it comes to performance, the political system does not fare so well. This is partly due to several structural factors. The election of the president and the legislature according to the majority principle favors a certain polarization and makes it difficult to work out political compromises.
