After the corona infection has come under control in Dharavi, Mumbai, death has also stopped. Local officials claim that not a single corona infected have died in Dharavi in ten days. The first case of corona was found on 1 April in Dharavi and he died on the same day. 8 to 10 people live in every hut in the dense area of Dharavi. There is also a shortage of public toilets compared to the population. Due to which it was difficult to follow the rules of physical distance.

BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) built 2 corona centres and positive were sent there for treatment. According to the civic body, a 200-bed corona care centre was built in Mahim adjacent to Dharavi and provided oxygen facility. Officers used the triple test formula of trace test and treatment started.

According to BMC, 67 died in April, 154 in May, 37 in June and 7 in July. No one died in August. But in Dharavi on Tuesday, 8 more people were confirmed Covid-19 positive. After this, the number of confirmed cases in the area has increased to 2,634. A senior official of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that 2295 patients have already recovered. 81 patients are being treated in the densely populated area. 917 new cases of corona were reported in Mumbai on Tuesday, which increased the total number of infected to 1,25,239. Due to the death of 48 more patients, the number of deceased has increased to 6,890, this information was given by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
