If there is a magnitude 7 earthquake, then many buildings and houses in Delhi are filled with sand. This is because the construction material used in the buildings here is such that it is not fully able to withstand the earthquake. The construction of building materials in Delhi is the biggest reason for the disaster. A report related to this was prepared by the Vulnerability Council of India, which has been published by the Building Material and Technology Promotion Council.

For your information, let us tell you that 91.7 percent of Delhi's walls are made of paved bricks, while 3.7 percent of the houses are made of raw bricks. Experts believe that buildings made of raw or paved bricks are the highest during earthquake. There is a problem. In this case, care should be taken while constructing the building from this material and must be consulted by experts. Ghosh said that real estate agencies, contractors, builders, architects, planners, building owners, construction material suppliers, civil engineers, Municipal officials, DDA, MCD, DUAC, Delhi Fire Service, Police etc. should follow the National Building Code 2016.
