Pune: The registrar of the Pune District Court allegedly issued a notice to women lawyers, triggering a ruckus. In fact, according to a notice allegedly issued by the Pune district court registrar here, women lawyers were asked not to do hair grooming in the court as it obstructs or disturbs the proceedings of the court. However, later the Pune Bar Association said that 'It has not received any such notice till now.'

In fact, senior lawyer Indira Jaising tweeted the photo of the notice, in the caption of which she wrote - 'Look! Whose attention is being diverted because of women lawyers and why?' Let us tell you that the notice, allegedly issued on October 20, said, "It has been repeatedly observed that women lawyers get their hair done in open court, which disturbs the functioning of the court." Hence women advocates were asked to refrain from such acts.'

After that, the signature of the Registrar of the Pune District Court was also shown in this notice. However, Pune Bar Association President Advocate Pandurang Thorve has said that his office has not received any such notice. All notices issued to lawyers are sent to the Pune Bar Association, however, we have not received any such notice till now. On the other hand, sources said that the notice was withdrawn after objections were raised on Saturday.

With this, he said, 'However some reports have come to know that the notice was withdrawn on Saturday. But it needs to be noted here that Friday was the last day of the court's business before the start of the Diwali holidays on Saturday.' As per the reports that surfaced, when asked about the notice, Thorve said that the court works with a set of norms to maintain decorum. Until we see the notice, it is not appropriate to comment on it.
