Indore: In two weeks, electricity subscribers in the city will get instant spot billing on their mobiles. All 1.25 lakh electricity subscribers of south division of the city have to complete the spot billing process on mobile in two weeks.
Mechanic Nagar, Daly College, University, Navlakha and OPH South electric zones come under this division. Along with this, one or two zones in four other divisions of the city have also been included in the e-billing process.
Initially, along with reading on 11 zones, the process of handing out spot electricity bills on mobile has also started. South division executive engineer DK Tiwari said that the 1.25 lakh subscribers would be given electricity bills on mobile. The mobile numbers of 6,138 subscribers are doubtful or do not have mobiles. Their readings are being taken first.
With this, the process of giving ebilling or spot electricity bill on mobile on one or two zones of different divisions of the city will be completed in two weeks. Power company managing director Amit Tomar said all care was being taken to ensure that there would be no issue in spot billing. There would be a helpdesk in every zone.
