New Delhi: The government has taken another new initiative in which it has decided to install new smart electricity meters. In which the biggest feature of the meter will be that automatically the electricity will be cut off if the electricity bill is not filled. At the same time, rules in this regard are also being changed. You will be able to get electricity only after paying the bill. If the power is going beyond the fixed limit in the house or office and the load on the meter is more then the power will be cut. Supply will be restored only after load control. Union Minister of State for Power RK Singh has told this information.

Under this scheme, customers will be given prepaid and postpaid facilities on the lines of mobile service. According to their requirement, the customer will be able to recharge the pack from Rs 50 to above. Another great feature of smart meters will be that they can be turned on or off as per the requirement. These electric meters will run through modern technology, but the work of manual meter reading is still going on. This problem will also be eliminated with new smart meters. Real time monitoring of the meter can be done from the power office. Readings will be generated from the company's system and sent to the consumer's registered mobile.
