Lucknow: The defaulters who have not been able to collect the Lucknow Municipal Corporation House Tax in Uttar Pradesh will now have to pay the tax, the corporation has launched a new campaign against the big defaulters. Under the campaign, defaulters will be asked to pay tax dues by drumming in front of their homes and properties.

On the first day of the campaign which began on Tuesday (02 July), municipal workers along with bands and drums arrived at the Hotel India Awadh complex on Sapru Marg and started drumming, after which the hotelier was charged a house tax of Rs 19 lakh on the spot. According to information, the hotel owner was owed millions. Even after issuing notices several times, the hoteliers were not depositing the dues. The hotel owner did not even come into the One Lump Solution Plan (OTS).

After not joining the OTS, the municipal authorities took the drum and reached the hotel in Badaar. So the officials played the drum and said, "The municipal corporation Lucknow will pay the house tax as soon as possible, otherwise the municipal administration will ring the dugout in front of the house of the defaulter building owners".
