Bhubaneswar: Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan have rushed to the spot to take care of the injured in the tragic train accident in Odisha's Balasore and take stock of the improvement work of railway lines. During this, Dharmendra Pradhan said that there were 4 trains, not 3, on the track. There were two passenger trains and two freight trains. Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, after reviewing the injured, said 100 injured needed critical care.

 

At the same time, Dharmendra Pradhan has told that the fourth train was a freight train and its engine has been damaged. So far 288 people have lost their lives in this accident, while more than 1000 people have been injured. The rescue operation has been completed. At the same time, the treatment of the injured is going on in various hospitals. The Union Health Minister visited AIIMS Bhubaneswar and Medical College, Cuttack to take stock of the medical treatment being provided to the victims. Mandaviya said he has had a detailed discussion about the accident and an action plan has also been prepared.

Mandaviya also said that more than 1,000 people have been injured in this horrific accident and are undergoing treatment. More than 100 patients are in need of critical care and specialist doctors from Delhi AIIMS, Lady Hardinge Hospital and RML Hospital have arrived here with modern equipment and medicines to treat them. In this accident, 21 coaches derailed and were severely damaged. After the completion of the passengers, the work of repairing the tracks is now going on to restore the earlier condition. Dharmendra Pradhan and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who rushed to the spot, are overseeing the restoration work.

 

About 1000 people are working day and night to start this route as soon as possible. The Prime Minister called up Ashwini and took stock of the repair work. "It is our responsibility to restore normalcy as soon as possible. Indian Railways is running free trains and logistics facilities are also being provided."
