Anantnag: A Shivalinga has taken shape in the holy Amarnath cave present in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. The first photo of the shape of a Shivling to be built in the Amarnath cave every year has surfaced. The Jammu and Kashmir administration is busy preparing for this year's Amarnath Yatra. The yatra will begin from July 1, 2023. The journey will last for 62 days. Â
The government has also released the schedule for the Amarnath Yatra. Registration for the yatra started from April 17, 2023, through offline and online modes. Union Home Minister Amit Shah reviewed the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir. Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh and other senior officials were present in the meeting. During the 44th meeting of the SASB, members and officers reviewed various aspects of Shri Amarnathji Yatra-2023, including registration, provision of helicopter services, service providers, camps, langar and insurance cover for the pilgrims.
The yatra will start simultaneously from Pahalgam track and Baltal in Ganderbal district. Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board will telecast live morning and evening aarti for devotees from all over the world. Shri Amarnathji Yatra app has been made available on Google Play Store to avail travel, weather and many services online. Â
