Jammu: The year-long wait for the devotees of Mata Vaishno Devi is over. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has opened the doors of the ancient cave for all the devotees coming to see the mother. After this news, there is a wave of happiness among the devotees of Matarani. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has also issued some guidelines in view of Corona. Devotees can visit the ancient cave by taking care of social distancing and wearing masks.

The ancient cave is opened only when the number of devotees is very less. At present, the Shrine Board has allowed only 10,000 passengers to go up. According to mythology, in the ancient cave of Maa Vaishno Devi Ji, 33 crore goddesses are believed to be inhabited. According to the belief, when Baba Bhairavnath was following him to catch Mata Vaishno Devi, Mata Vaishno Devi did penance by going inside this ancient cave on the building. It is believed that Lord Hanuman started guarding the cave outside to prevent Bhairavnath from going inside.

During this, Bhairavnath came out of the cave and tried to go inside, but Hanuman Ji stopped him and in the meantime, Mother Vaishno Devi appeared and mother killed Bhairavnath. Bhairav Nath's head fell into the Bhairav valley and the body fell at the entrance of the cave. Since then, Mata Vaishno Devi Ji gave a boon to Bhairavnath that the devotee who would come for the darshan of the mother would definitely visit the Bhairav valley.
