Amritsar: The Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab has given a big gift to the employees on the occasion of Diwali. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of the state has restored the old pension scheme in the state. The AAP had made this promise during the assembly elections. The state government said that now 6 per cent DA will be provided to government employees.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has welcomed this decision of the Punjab government. He has said that we had promised Punjab that the old pension scheme will be implemented in the state. He also congratulated all the employees of Punjab. He said that the new pension scheme is unfair to the employees. CM Kejriwal said that the old pension scheme should be implemented in the whole country. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal tweeted and wrote, 'Today Bhagwant Mann Ji fulfilled the promise. Congratulations to all the employees. The new pension scheme is unfair. OPS should be implemented across the country.'

CM Arvind Kejriwal said that if the people of Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat give a chance, then we will implement OPS there too. As a Diwali gift, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has also made big announcements for the families of those killed in the electricity department. He has said that the families of the employees killed in the department will be provided jobs on compassionate grounds.
