New Delhi: A low-intensity blast occurred in the room of a court in the national capital on Thursday, hurting one person, according to officials. However, no deaths have been reported. This is the court complex's second big incident in the last three months.

According to a senior Delhi Police officer, the source of the explosion was a laptop bag kept in courtroom 102 of the Rohini court complex. On Thursday morning, about 10.30 a.m., a bomb exploded. "At that time, the area was totally sealed off, and the litigants were asked to depart the premises," he added, adding that the explosion occurred during a hearing.

According to a Delhi Fire Services Department spokesman, a call about a "strange" explosion at the Rohini Court was received at 10.40 a.m., prompting the Fire Department to dispatch at least seven fire tenders to the scene. "The blast was of minor intensity," the officer said, "and the injured person was transported to a neighbouring hospital even before the fire tenders arrived." The injured person has been identified as Naib Court's Head Constable Rajeev.
