New Delhi: Real estate giant Amrapali Group's troubles are increasing. Company is already reeling in the matter of not providing flats despite taking money from customers. The probe is under the supervision of the Supreme Court. In the fresh case, government employees have lodged a complaint with the police alleging cheating on the group. Amrapali Group had launched the Adarsh Housing Scheme in Noida for government employees. According to the scheme, the government took crores of rupees from the government employees for the flat but did not give the flat to any employee.

A total of 20 FIRs have been lodged so far against the Amrapali Group, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police. More than 2700 complaints have been received by the police so far against Amrapali Group. A senior EOW official said Amrapali Group had also launched a housing scheme for government employees. The scheme was for retired and working Government employees.

The group had launched the Adarsh Housing Scheme at Sector-76, Noida in 2012. Under the project, five towers were to be built and 39 flats were to be constructed in each tower. Government employees were claimed to have two, three, four-room flats. But the scheme was not started at all. Naresh Kumar, a resident of West Vihar, Delhi, had also invested money in the scheme. EOW has lodged the 20th FIR against Amrapali Group promoters on Naresh Kumar's complaint.
