Lucknow: Another FIR has now been registered against Mohammed Zuber, co-founder of the controversial website AltNews. The FIR has been registered by the Lakhimpur Kheri police of Uttar Pradesh. The FIR was lodged by Sudarshan News' Lakhimpur Kheri Bureau Ashish Kumar Katiyar through the court on September 18, 2021. The complainant, Ashish Kumar Katiyar, has claimed that the Uttar Pradesh Police has started formalities to take Zuber into their custody.

Ashish Katiyar has also made Twitter an accused in this FIR. According to Ashish's complaint, Zuber tried to spread communalism across the country by describing a graphic on Sudarshan News on May 14 and 15, 2021 as the Al-Nawabi Mosque of Medina. The graphics were used as a symbolic picture during a show based on the Israel-Palestine War 2021 on Sudarshan News, which was claimed by Zuber had no connection with the mosque. By doing so, Zuber has also tried to tarnish the image of India all over the world.

In this complaint of Ashish Katiyar, Zuber has been accused of uniting Muslims from all over the world against India and spreading communal frenzy even in the crisis period like Corona. According to Ashish, in May 2021, Lakhimpur Kheri police refused to register his complaint. After the police refused, Ashish appealed to the court in September 2021 for action against Zuber. Finally, the FIR was registered on the orders of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, in which Zuber was booked under Section 153-A of the IPC at Thana Mohammedi.

Speaking to the media, the complainant Ashish Katiyar said, "The case was pending for about 10 months. Finally, after the action of the Delhi Police and Sitapur Police, now Lakhimpur Police has also started action against Zuber.'' The Kheri police told that they had submitted the documents related to Zuber's custody to the authorities concerned and to the court. Soon Zuber will have to come to Kheri. At the same time, SHO Mohammedi of Kheri police said, "We have filed warrant B in Sitapur jail. Further action is being taken as per rules.'' Let me tell you that, warrant B is asked to include the accused in his case, on whom cases are registered in many other police stations, districts or territories.
